'...The approach is to first deconstruct your playing and then to rebuild it on more solid foundations...'
MATT BURTON - current student
Simon 'the Jam Man' Tittley is a guitarist & bassist, singer/songwriter, record producer and guitar & bass teacher.
He was obsessed with the guitar from the age of eleven and has since developed a life-long appreciation of rock, blues, jazz and fusion music.
While at drama school in the 1970's Simon was encouraged by Wrecking Crew guitarist BARNEY KESSEL to learn to read guitar notation and to study music theory and technique.
This lead to him having lessons with BBC session guitarist ALAN SHUTTLEWORTH for several years at Birmingham Guitar School, where he later became vice-principal.
'...I've played guitar for 30 years. My bi-weekly therapy jamming with Simon takes me back to younger days when the only high I needed was picking up a guitar ! Fast forward and it still gives me a buzz...
Do yourself a favour, re-live your youth with a guitar player who will open up new ideas every time and put a smile on your face when you nail that lick..!'
